Early German DDR NVA Leather Soled Boots

This is a nice pair of early East German DDR Boots as seen in the older photos of the "Grenzschutz" Border Guards. The Soles are a combination of pegged leather with hard rubbr heel and outsole. Not to be confused with the mediocre, thin leather, crepe-soled Boots that flooded the market when the Berlin Wall fell and are now being cloned in China to meet consumer demand. I have not cleaned these or even dusted them - so you can leave these for a 'been there' look or give them a spit polish. I heard that this pair likely came from a small movie prop rental warehouse find.
