Japanese Samurai Sword Yari Concealed in Pipe Case


This a Samurai-era Yari (Spear) that has been modified to be concealed in a woven grass pipe case. Tricks like this were often employed after the sword ban by elderly Samurai who felt naked without carrying some sort of edged weapon on their person. The pipe case measures 10 3/4" long overall, with the visible part of the Yari measuring 4 1/16", There is no temper line visible.
