Samurai Era Japanese Sword Tsuba - Sukashi Family Mon

This is a neat original Samurai era Tsuba with the Sukashi design of a family Mon.

The Tsuba measures 2 7/8" in diameter and 4 mm thick. It is delicately pierced with the design of a Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Family Crest. Hawley states that this was adopted as the national flower of Japan around the 10th Century.

The Sukashi Mon is an old style of Tsuba which is now highly prized for it's simple aesthetic design.

Guaranteed to be an original hand made Samurai era Tsuba, and not any kind of copy.
