Japanese Samurai Sword Fuchi-Kashira - Iron Higo

This is a pretty nice Fuchi-Kashira set, suitable for mounting. It is typical Higo style - iron with a rough "nugget" textured body and smooth grooves.

Likely from the 1930's, when the martial spirit in Japan was revived and modern made Samurai swords began appearing on the market. This is indicated by the one-piece Fuchi (the flat part not being a separate piece of soft metal).

Fuchi is 22 mm x 38 mm OD at the base, 19 mm x 33 mm ID at the mouth, and 11 mm tall.

Kashira is 19 mm x 35 mm x 8 mm tall.
