Japanese Pre-WW2 Military Officer Sword Kyu Gunto

Nice example of an early military sword, worn by career officers into WW2. Blade cutting edge length is 29 7/8"; sword with scabbard overall length 36". Nice copper Habaki with silver finish. Factory blade with some light overall scuffing, has a clear false Hamon. There is a TINY (.5mm) nick on the edge, as well as a small (4mm) manufacturing flaw in the blade, both clearly shown in photos. Scabbard has some light rust pockmarks overall, but no active rust.
