This is an interesting USAAF paperwork grouping in a Manila Folder titled "Robert N. Winter - 201 File". File is for Robert Nicholas Winter (Officer ASN included) - and documents his Pilot Training and ultimate assignment to the 449th Bomb Group on July 9th, 1943. There are six copies of a Personnel Order stating that as a Graduate of Class 43-F, he is "Hereby required to participate in regular and frequent aerial flights", 10 day Leave of Absence, Termination of Cadet Status, Appointment as Second Lieutenant, many Receipts for Flying Gear - Helmets, Parachute, B-3 Flying jacket, etc., payment for Clothing and Equipment lost, papers related to Navigation and Map Reading, a Pilot Training Program "Special Weather Map" of the United States (tattered), and Assignment to the 449th Bomb Group, plus a few other docs.
