SOLD - I've seen these 'Kit Bags' in a few GI Footlocker groupings, and was never quite sure what they were, but here one comes along with the original box and description. 10 1/2" x 7" drawstring Bag with accompanying card reading:

Also hand-written on the card (in post-war ballpoint ink) "maybe Bob brought this home from the army".
