WW2/Early Post-War US Navy Jumpers - Construction Btn Seabees

$45.00

SOLD - This is a group of two blue wool US Navy Jumpers for members of a Construction Battalion / Seabees Unit.

1st Uniform Jumper is named to SF (Shipfitter) 2nd Class Cecil A. Smay. Has a great Seabees patch as well as Metalsmith Rating and Ruptured Duck Discharge patch. Bell Pull Conmar Zipper is WW2 era or very shortly after. You see similar tailor-added zippers on later jumpers but they used modern zipper styles.

2nd Uniform Jumper is named to BM (Boatswain's Mate) 1st Class (inked over the original "2nd" or "3rd Class" designation) C.T. Ratliff. Has a "CB" diamond-shaped rating patch on the left Cuff, and the early style Right Arm Rating for a Boatswain's Mate. This one is not 100% wool - it feels very silky and could be flat out synthetic material.
