M26 Adrian Steel Helmet Arsenal Reworked for Reissue to Unknown

This is an M26 "Adrian" Steel Helmet, developed by the French, but used by many countries. I have not been able to pin this down due to several odd features. First off, there are no holes for a Helmet Badge, as used by most countries. Also, it looks to have originally been painted desert tan, then the outside of the shell has been painted a textured brown. And then, some holes gave been drilled to adapt it to a different liner system. Drilling holes in a steel helmet is not something you do in your home workshop, so this whole arrangement might be an arsenal rework done by some unknown country.
