This is a neat original Samurai era Tsuba, with the design theme of a woven grass Tatami Mat.
The Tsuba measures 2 13/16" x 2 11/16". It is 4 mm thick at the center, and tapers down to 2 mm thick at the rim. There are traces of gold overlay design as well. Overall, this Tsuba looks pretty old.
