This Spanish American War Cartridge Belt is in far better condition than you usually see - no tatters, no mouse nibbles, no greasy dirt. It is named to "Theophilus Caffe - Company C, 47 Regt". He is found in the unit rosters for the 47th New York Infantry Regiment. Caffe mustered in as Private, Company C, May 24th, 1898, and discharged at San Juan, Puerto Rico, February 14th, 1899.
