This is a neat photo that merits further research. It features twelve USAAF Pilots, in their WW2 era pinks and greens, receiving an award from a Flight Surgeon.
They are standing in front of a huge blown up photo of a Fairchild C119 Flying Boxcar. The Tail Number is obscured, but it appears to be "57769", the Tail Number of the original 1945 prototype.
Two of the pilots in the photo bear a strong resemblance to two C-119 Pilots identified in a circa 1953 photo as C-119 Pilots Gornick and Troxell.
