Trench Art from WW2 75 mm Artillery and .50 caliber MG Shells
This is a 1944-dated 75 mm Artillery Shell and a 1943-dated .50 Caliber Machine Gun Round - converted into a Souvenir Tankard U.S. "Army Armament Munitions Chemical Command" in 1986. Shells have the original arsenal markings, with the addition of "136/300 - 1986" on the base and a Chemical Command logo on the side.
It's styled like a Tankard but will not hold liquid and would not recommend trying to adapt it for drinking. The soldering joints for the "Handle" look way to weak for the piece to be picked up that way. I recommend it purely as an item for a display shelf or a desktop pencil holder.
