I got these in a trade and as this is an area about which I know virtually nothing, am pricing them to move.

KING'S CROWN HAT - The Hat Badge would date no later than 1953, and although the Badge itself is in near-mint condition, I believe it to date from the period. The workmanship is superb and there is absolutely no reaction under a strong UV Mineral Light. The Hat itself dates to much later, with a white rubberized cover (white stitching reacts to UV Light), and there is a plastic chin strap under the black Hat Band.

QUEEN'S CROWN HAT - Royal Navy Commander's Hat with leather Chin Strap, leatherette Sweat band. This would date post June 1953. I am guessing it is of relatively recent manufacture.
