This is a really nice pair of sew-on Shoulder Boards for an Army Lt. Colonel serving in a Medical Unit. The base fabric is much darker than the 2nd photo indicates. They show nice age toning, but have never been sewn to a uniform. These boards are absolutely dead under a strong UV light.

NOTE: An astute collector pointed out that these are not a true set of matching boards, as there should be one left-hand and one right-hand board with symmetrically opposite weaving of the silver braid. These were part of a tailor shop hoard of collar tabs and shoulder boards, and the vet must have thought he was grabbing up a matching set.
