This 56th Quartermaster Battalion grouping consists of three sets of Distinctive Insignia (6 DI's total), plus a Dog Tag dated 1955. German-made DI's with Motto reading "MFET THE NEED" instead of "MEET THE NEED" due to a flawed or damaged die. (Note that the DI in the lower R/H corner of first pic has repaired damage to the white enameling in the two top quadrants.) Dog Tag is marked "T55" for a tetanus shot in 1955. There is one goofy-looking clutch which I presume is German. Also, short one clutch overall,
Stationed in Germany, Units in the 56th included a Graves Registration Company.
