This is an interwar commemorative belt buckle for veterans of the 78th Infantry Division in WW1. 1" x 2" buckle is gold-finished (looks silver in some of the photos), with a painted 78th Division insignia in the middle and lettering "LIGHTINNG 78th DIVISION - LIMEY - SAN MIHIEL MEUSE - ARGONNE - WORLD 1917-1918 WAR".
