Victory Glass Company - Glass Army Tank Candy Container

This is an interwar Candy Container, marked on the bottom "Victory Glass Toy Division". Tank is 4 1/8" long and is molded in very thick glass. There are still traces of gold paint. (My mom had a collection of these in the 60's - as I recall, a few were unopened, and were painted gold, with a cardboard label on the bottom and small bb-sized candy inside.)

The Victory Glass Co. was founded in 1919 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. A victim of the Great Depression, Victory Glass Co. reorganized in 1937 to become Victory Glass, Inc.
