This is an early Iowa National Guard 5 Years Long Service Medal as authorized in a 1911 memo. It's been converted into some type of Brooch, with a letter "G" (G Company?) affixed to a belt clasp. The last photo is from Ken Lewis' rare booklet "Military Medals, Awards and Service Badges of Iowa", privately-printed in 1976. Looks like there was something glued onto the back of the Medal at one time, covering the Serial Number.
