This Pith Helmet is the same style as used during WW2, with a December 1948 date of manufacture. I guess that would make it a Korean War item. It has age toning, doesn't but not the fading and dark age spots you almost always see with these, although there is a storage wrinkle in the brim (pictured). Overall a very clean example.
